The HERESA project is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building Project for Higher Education (CBHE), which was awarded in 2020. The project aims at developing a network of Higher Education Reform Experts in South Africa, based in the member universities of the South African Technology Network of universities (SATN – now changing the name to THENSA), which will support South African technology-focused universities to revise and reinvigorate their teaching and learning strategies, especially when it comes to Work-integrated learning, entrepreneurship education and teaching for the fourth industrial revolution. The project has special significance in light of the global pandemic and its dramatic impact on South African universities and the South African higher education sector in general. It is also an important opportunity to strengthen EU-South African university cooperation in teaching and learning.
The Kick-Off Meeting is intended to bring the entire consortium together for the first time and set the pace for the implementation of the project. It will consist of several sessions over two days, which will range from discussing the project objectives and work plan, to the communications strategy and the financial management.
